Established in 1970, Island Concrete has supplied concrete to some of Singapore’s most iconic developments. Over the decades, our network has grown in scale and sophistication that is backed by computerised batching systems, a robust fleet, and a commitment to quality.

As part of Hong Leong Asia, we are integrated within one of the strongest building material supply chains in the region, supporting projects that define the nation’s infrastructure and skyline.

Since our founding, Island Concrete has contributed to Singapore’s most significant infrastructure milestones — from early public housing to the latest high-rise developments.

1970

Established a single batching plant in Aljunied Supplied ready-mixed concrete to first project – Tanglin Shopping Centre

1974

Supplied off-site ready-mixed concrete for the construction of a public housing project – Tanjong Pagar Plaza

1978

Set up a batching plant for the construction of Changi Airport Terminal 1

1985 – 1987

Supplied ready-mixed concrete for MRT Phase 1 Project – Bishan Depot & Station, Braddell Station, Paya Lebar Station, Chinese Garden Station, Bukit Batok Station, Raffles Place Station, Aljunied Station, Changi Depot and Bugis Station.

2006

Ready-mixed concrete production exceeds 1 million cubic metres.

2007

Contracted to supply 1.2 million cubic metres of ready-mixed concrete for the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort Project.

2008

Ready-mixed concrete production exceeds 2 million cubic metres.

2010

Achieved Certification of Endorsement for supply of Green Label Concrete.
Supplied more than 1.2 million cubic metres of ready-mixed concrete for the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort Project.

2013

Supplied more than 800,000 cubic metres of ready-mixed concrete to the construction of the Marina Coastal Expressway Projects.

2014 - 2015

Supplied more than 180,000 cubic metres of High Performance Concrete.

2017

A Central Command Centre was established to better service customer’s orders, effective use of our combined resources of 8 ready-mix plants location within the mainland of Singapore and over 200 numbers of mixer trucks, to ensure timely delivery of concrete to meet customer requirements.

2020

Supplied green concrete for the construction of CapitaSky (former CPF building) on 79 Robinson Road.

2022

Embarked on a brand refresh project with launch of new logo and a new brand position – a leading player for environmentally friendly concrete products for lower-carbon buildings

2023

Rolled out Singapore’s first 12 cubic metre trucks which marked a progressive shift away from 9 cubic metre trucks to improve operational as well as reduce traffic on Singapore’s roads – enhancing productivity and simultaneously reducing carbon emissions with these higher capacity mixer trucks.

2024

Commissioned its largest capacity 450m3/hour batching plant in Jurong Port Ready-Mixed Concrete Ecosystem. This latest large capacity batching plant has multi-cell concrete silos, and materials are feed into individual storage cell through automated materials handling system and bucket elevators transfer.

2025

Installed Singapore’s first 6m3 twin-shaft mixer in new batching plant located in Punggol Timor (northeastern part of Singapore), The larger mixers, together with an automated conveyor system will minimise carbon footprint and reduce labour inputs.
